As a facility attendant, the main responsibilities involve monitoring members and equipment to ensure safety. This includes acting as a first responder, sanitizing RWC areas and equipment to provide a safe environment, ensuring the well-being throughout the day, and completing inventory duties. Along with these tasks, we also greet all members with enthusiasm and maintain a positive atmosphere that cultivates long-term participation at the recreation center. Working at the Auburn Recreation Center served as experience in customer service and general work duties.

As a research assistant, my main responsibility was to complete various tasks for each of the graduate assistants in order to increase the productivity of the lab, and the accuracy of the results. In this lab, we completed the analysis and entry of large amounts of biomechanics data regarding impairments to gait. The goal of this lab is to help develop impactful rehabilitation techniques for individuals with impaired gait by using comprehensive data analysis. Our job as a Research Assistant was to check the data for errors in order to ensure the highest amount of accuracy.

During my time at the Hampton Inn in Fairhope, my role shifted consistently based on what was required. My responsibilities spanned from breakfast attendant, maintenance, housekeeping, front desk, and laundry. The main role of my position was to complete a variety of diverse tasks in order to allow for the hotel to operate efficiently. My time at the hotel allowed for growth in customer service and boosted my social efficacy, allowing me to have an impact on the many people I interacted with each day. Working in customer service taught me values such as sympathy, forgiveness, and patience.

Orange Beach Surf Rescue is a division of the Orange Beach Fire Department. Our objective was to observe the public and react/respond to any individual in distress. This includes responding to swimmers in distress, cardiac arrest, seizures, and heatstroke. During the first 2 seasons working for surf rescue, I served as a regular lifeguard. During my third season, I was promoted to senior lifeguard and was in charge of maintaining balance amongst multiple employees. Throughout my time at surf rescue, I learned valuable communication skills and how to cope with high-intensity situations.
