Maintenance Engineering Co-Op
CurrentWorking within Teck's Central Maintenance group has allowed me to expand my reliability engineering skillset through initiatives to improve physical availability on critical fleets.Primarily focusing on electric-drive haul truck fleets across Teck's four mines located in the Elk Valley, BC, I led multiple initiatives targeting electrical related bad-actors. These projects involved shadowing and interacting with trades people performing planned maintenance, data analysis of major fleet metrics, and collaboration with equipment vendors and OEMs. These projects improved fleet performance and reduced maintenance costs. At the site level, I led various projects at Elkview Operations supporting critical mine electrical infrastructure and safety. Working on an ammonia gas detection systems for in-pit fuel islands, designing and delivering a meter house to support a parking lot extension, and performing an analysis on mine-site generator capabilities and critical loads allowed me to grow my skillset in high voltage distribution systems.
