My name is Ethan L. Ashley, and I am a research assistant in the lab of Dr. Christian Metallo at the Salk Institute as well as a graduate of the bioengineering program at the University of California, San Diego. I am experienced in both metabolic and structural biochemistry research and have worked with a variety of analytical and biological techniques as well as with in vitro, in vivo, and ex vivo model systems. My research interests are in mass spectrometry, metabolism, and bioengineering and how they can be applied to fields such as cancer biology, regenerative medicine, developmental biology, and immunology. I plan to apply to graduate school in the 2024-25 admissions cycle and welcome opportunities to connect with potential PI’s and current students.
