Augmented Listening Laboratory/Singer Research Group - • Currently assisting development of acoustic localization for under-canopy farming robots and underwater robots• Currently democratizing acoustic research by creating a spider-cam style robot with mounted speakers and transducers in a reverb dampening chamber that will be remotely accessible to the public.Distributed Autonomous Systems Lab/FRESH Lab/AI Farms Team -• Automated a tractor for waypoint functionality by retrofitting it with steering actuation, lidar, Intel RealSense, RTK GPS, IMU, ROS on RPi, CUDA on Jetson Xavier NX, Gazebo simulation, sensor fusion, and graph-based SLAM algorithms (spread team contribution to each item)• Assisted construction of two gantry style automated garden bedsIndependent Research -• Designed an aquatic water sample collection and analyzation robot. Also developed a machine learning algorithm for optimal sample site selection as well as water quality profile prediction. Funded by UIUC OUR Research Support grant amongst other awards•Developed a thermoelectric pipe to increase car engine efficiency through waste-heat conversion•Built a multi-speed mechanical wheelchair to reduce upper limb degradation in life long wheel chair users•Created a low cost, gravity based, self-evacuation wheelchair attachment in case of fire

- Lead and help found an after-school robotics club for middle school students who are historically underrepresented in STEM, have a variety of learning difficulties, or face other life challenges

Battery Pack Manufacturing• Designed and validated an automated QC station that uses computer vision to check for failed cable connections• Upgraded scanner controls and redesigned hardware to improve ease of maintenance o Implemented in Beckhoff PLC’s, Ignition SCADA, and on HMI• Built a pneumatic tray lifter end effector to address ergonomic concerns for human lifting

Paint Automation -• Developed and automated a paint purge and recovery system to reduce booth overspray and save Tesla over $200,000• Lead process and equipment upgrades, and optimizations based on statistical analysis and pain point identification• Programmed DURR paint robots in 3DonSite
