Hello, I am Ethan Moreno, an undergraduate student at the Naveen Jindal School of Management or JSOM at the University of Texas at Dallas; my major is business administration, and I am interested in technology and cybersecurity. I am currently employed at SONIC Drive-in as a manager, which has given me unique insights into what it means to manage and lead others. It has allowed me to become a better leader and employee because I can see what a manager needs from an employee, being a manager myself. I have also understood what to expect from a professional job through my education at both Dallas College and the University of Texas Dallas. Both of these institutions have taught me how to conduct myself in a way that is expected of someone in a professional job. Throughout my time at university, I have also become better at holding conversations and deepening relationships, skills that will be useful in a professional setting. I hope to one day apply the skills gained at UTD and Sonic to a full-time job. I also hope to become more educated in technology and cybersecurity as these areas are very important, and I imagine they will become even more important soon, which is why I must become familiar with these fields so I can apply them to my job in the future. Overall, I hope that one day, with the skills I have learned and experiences I have had at School and work, I will be able to apply these things to a successful career that I can one day be proud of.
