Hello! I’m Ethan Oakes, a 3D character animator working toward an MFA in Film and Animation at the Rochester Institute of Technology.I began my storytelling journey at a young age by writing bedtime stories for my younger sisters. Years later, I discovered Blender and gradually developed my skills in animation, lighting, digital compositing, and cinematography. Today, I use these skills to help others bring their creative visions to life, and pass on my knowledge of the 3D pipeline through online tutorials and interpersonal mentorships.Everyone has stories to tell, lessons to teach, and values to share. My goal as an artist is to bolster these ideas in a way that is visually inspiring to the consumer, while respecting the intents and wishes of the author. By sharing our stories, and the ideas that accompany them, I believe we can strengthen empathy, foster critical thinking, and encourage others to view the world from new, diverse perspectives.
