About 4 years ago, I was involved in hosting a high school all-star football game with Damar Hamlin, the Buffalo Bills safety. Little did I know, two unexpected things would happen that night. The game ended early due to gun fire and MIDL was born. After watching the surveillance footage of the incident the next day, I noticed that the actor was openly displaying a pistol prior to any incident occurring. At this point, the key problem was clear: cameras are basically worthless unless they are being searched or monitored. My co-founders and I came up with a solution, our real-time investigations platform. Weapon detection is a small fraction of what we do today. Our software investigates your camera streams in real-time and if there is something like a protest, person or vehicle of interest, a weapon being displayed, etc we will alert you. But since our software has already seen what has occurred, there is no need for you to tediously search your cameras anymore. Simply tell us what you are looking for. “A person wearing a Lebron James jersey” is the type of thing you can search for in our platform. And why stop there? There are other data sources and systems we can tie into this real-time investigation such as access control, panic buttons, blue lights, CAD systems, MDTs, transportation networks, etc. As we provide this platform exclusively to campus law enforcement, we are seeking to be the point of reliability that regardless of the evolving safety challenges or workforce pressures, will always maintain your desired level of campus safety. My personal goal is to provide the best solution possible and I can only do that through feedback and genuine relationships built on collaboration. I would love to bring back the idea of a casual conversation that has seemingly vanished from today’s business world. There always has to be an angle and that angle is most commonly selling to the other person. Well I will tell you my angle transparently. It is to enjoy this process by learning from great leaders and to be a resource to those I have the pleasure of meeting. Growing this company is of natural interest to me, but that will not happen as I would like it to without genuine motives and prioritizing you. That is how I believe I will best serve the greater campus law enforcement space.

Co-Founder And CroMidlPittsburgh, Pa, Us -
Co-Founder/CroMidl Oct 2021 - PresentAs college and university law enforcement, you have to deal with more than you are given credit for. When compared to your average police department, you have an outsized number of cameras, higher amounts of traffic, and a large amount of systems to deal with such as access control, blue lights, panic buttons, shuttle busses, etc. Trying to address these unique challenges with technology that was built for other verticals is going to land you in a position where your staff takes on an everlasting burden of figuring out how to make this technology work for you. It doesn’t have to be this way. We exclusively built our platform in partnership with college and university partners to address the issues you face on a daily basis. The MIDL real-time investigations platform immediately enhances your ability to keep your campus safe. The idea is simple: our software investigates your existing camera streams in real-time. If there is a threat or something that you want to know about, you will receive an alert. Since our software has already investigated your camera streams, it knows what happened across your campus. This means you no longer need to spend hours searching footage, simply tell the software what you are looking for. To further enhance this idea of a real-time investigation, we enable you to combine other systems and data sources you have available to across your campus. This can include other camera networks, access control, blue lights, panic buttons, transportation systems, etc. MIDL gives college and university law enforcement an edge by enhancing your real-time and investigative abilities. -
