Technical Writer Iii
Current- Use the Adobe Technical Communication Suite to create reference manuals and training booklets for Delkor's automated and robotic packaging equipment.- Use SolidWorks Composer to manipulate CAD models for creating images of the machines for illustrations in reference manuals and training booklets.- Use FactoryTalk View Studio and FactoryTalk Optix Studio to take screenshots of HMI screens, navigate the HMI for writing procedures, and view object properties' connections and states.- Use Studio 5000 Logix Designer to observe ladder logic for documenting device operation and fault conditions.- Interview Engineers and Technicians to get information about the machines (such as maintenance procedures, operating procedures, and troubleshooting).- Research new devices and third-party equipment integrated with the machines to determine if and what new content is needed for manuals and trainings.- Write and edit content to address new developments and customizations to machines.- Review reference manual and training booklet content with Engineers and Technicians to ensure technical accuracy.- Print and assemble reference manuals and training booklets.- Prepare and finalize shipments of reference manuals to customers.- Work with third-party printing and translation vendors.- Work with Spanish-speaking Technician to ensure translations from vendor are accurate and maintain a glossary of industry-specific terminology in Spanish and English.- Maintain organization of the Technical Publication Department's digital and print documentation and schedule.- Train new employees in the Technical Publications department.
