Front Of House / Kitchen Hand
Maintaining cleanliness, preparing food items, and managing time efficiently in a fast-paced environment. I have excelled in teamwork and paying close attention to detail. I am also aware of health and safety regulations and possess effective communication skills along with interacting with customers and resolving any issues independently.
Mechanical Team Member
Outside of studies, I am also highly involved in Engineering related co-curricular activities like Formula SAE Australasia. It is a competition where university students design, build and compete in their very own Formula-style open-wheeled racing car. Around 35 university teams compete in this annual competition, putting their vehicles to the test each December. Students with Formula SAE-A experience are recognised as highly motivated and capable professionals. The competition provides an environment for students to develop problem-solving and outcome-focused management skills within a resource-limited organisation. In my role, I specialized in the fabrication and machining of compact, in-house components. I honed my skills on various machinery, including the mill, lathe, drill press, and drop saw, and also became adept at using hand-powered tools. This position required me to use CAD for designing parts and then machining them to meet those specifications, which significantly enhanced my proficiency in these areas.During the 2023 Formula SAE competition, I spent two weeks in Australia, where I played a role in assisting the team testing the vehicle and manufacturing the final components needed using the Monash University Makerspace.I have gained many skills and connections through this annual competition with unique skillsets in engineering and teamwork, which can be applied in the professional working industry.
Cost Team Member
This role involved costing all the individual components of the vehicle based on the CAD models. Each part costed takes into consideration the processes and materials, gaining insight on how it was made. It increased my proficiency in using CAD, Excel and understanding the processes required it takes to make a component.During the 2023 Formula SAE Competition, I was involved in the cost report and presentation alongside two other members of the team.
