The Service Support Technician works in the Service Center to provide physical hardware repairs, software repairs, setup and maintenance of managed services including RMM and endpoint security software, remote support for individuals and businesses, as well as face-to-face consultations, check-ins, and check-outs. Technicians in the Service Center also assist with data recovery using specialized software, deployment and configuration of systems for personal or business use, and other tasks as needed by individual customers.

The General Manager is in charge of regular management duties of the store, including opening and closing, bank deposits, inventory, training, directing and assisting technicians, resolving difficult situations with customers, and interacting with representatives of corporate partners (in cooperation with the District Manager.) General Managers also act as senior technicians when management duties are complete. They provide guidance to technicians and train them to repair new types of devices when the need arises.

Repair Technicians repair smartphones, tablets, laptop and desktop computers, game consoles, TVs, and more. Technicians are expected to complete repairs quickly and efficiently while performing thorough quality control to ensure that issues are fully resolved and proper steps are taken to ensure a quality repair. Repairs can be as simple as screen replacements or as complicated as soldering components onto motherboards. At uBreakiFix, technicians complete many repairs on behalf of corporate partners such as Asurion, Samsung, and Google. Technicians must follow partners' SOP, use consigned parts, and use proprietary diagnostic software to ensure quality and compliance. Technicians maintain detailed notes via the uBreakiFix Portal web system, which they also use to manage work orders and contact customers.
