Logistics Coordinator - Domestic Freight
Current- Manage and concurrently handle dozens of high-value, alcohol-focused domestic freight shipments in conjunction with freight forwarders to meet supplier deadlines and expectations. - Abide by state and federal regulations regarding the transport and inbounding of alcohol, along with tax bonded goods.- Create, update, and organize critical shipment information and transportation status to inform clients and to keep records.- Source and provide competitive rates to clients that fit the regulatory and individual needs of each shipment.- Arrange and proofread all necessary government and freight related documents needed to ensure smooth transfers from pickup to delivery.- Communicate regularly with clients regarding orders and goals via email, phone, and virtual meetings. Defusing tense and uncomfortable situations is not uncommon.- Handle and pay off invoices for completed shipments.
