I worked as a remote software engineering intern using Prefect, the open-source workflow management library for Python, to help manage and execute their data processing pipelines. I helped to upgrade their system from Prefect 1.0 to Prefect 2.0. I used the Prefect Cloud component and Docker to automate the data processing and updating.Another project I worked on was a data visualization project. Using Python libraries Pandas and Streamlit I created an addition to their web application that takes the sales data and creates graphs to help visualize performances.

I was able to work on a seven week global internship experience through the University of Florida and EDU Africa. I worked for the Butterfly Art Project and the Vrygrond Community Trust. I worked on a small team as the lead frontend engineer and full stack developer. Our team built a MERN Stack application following the Agile framework. We built a community map consisting of non-profit organizations for the people of Vrygrond to find services that they require. Vrygrond is an underdeveloped community so we focused on using open source and low data components to keep cost to a minimum. It was an amazing experience applying what I learned in the classroom and building a web application that is currently still being used.
