My name is Ethan Berman, I have recently acquired my B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of California, Merced and really enjoyed my time working with the other creative and talented people there. I have a lot of hands-on experience with working with tools, computers, machines, electronics, and learning new skills to complete engineering projects during my internships and personal projects. One cool thing I helped make during an internship was an electronic device that could read the temperature and pressure of fluids using inexpensive components to help create a testing rig that will allow for less expensive tribology testing in the future (tribology means the study of friction, wear, and lubricants BTW). Another cool project I'm working on is a modular electronic synthesizer, I'm building all the modules myself with the goal of eventually making a self-playing instrument that can play its own compositions using random algorithms as input.
