Attorney Mitchell practiced law in St. Thomas, US Virgin Islands in her own law offices and with the firms of Mitchell & Hunter and Palme, Anduze, Mitchell & Hunter. Attorney Mitchell worked with real estate transactions, business formation, contracts, divorce, wills and estate and personal injury litigation. In 1996 she enrolled in the Executive MBA program at Southern Methodist University in Dallas, TX and worked in the law firm of Mallory & Sturns in Arlington, TX.In 1999 Attorney Mitchell attended the Post-Call Course at the Ghana School of Law. Returning to the continental US, she took a senior position at the Congressional Black Caucus Foundation. She served as Director of Administration and Executive in Charge of Production for the Annual Legislative Conferences of the Congressional Black Caucus Foundation for 2000, 2001 and 2002. Attorney Mitchell was born in Texas, raised in Louisiana, attended St. Mary's Academy as a boarding student when it was still in the French Quarters of New Orleans. She has two children, both lawyers. Her son, Attorney Ronald Scott Mitchell works at Wills and Trusts, LLC with her. Attorney Mitchell enjoyed sailing while living in the Virgin Islands and is an avid Formula 1 fan.
