I started corporate work in the IT industry after I graduated from college in 1993. I started as a Programmer Trainee because I did not have the necessary IT background. After three months, I was promoted to Junior Programmer. After another 3 months, I was again promoted to Senior Programmer. I worked in 4 more companies in various capabilities as programmer, systems analysis, project manager, technical support head, and quality assurance manager. I have at least 13 years of corporate work in the IT industry. My expertise is in accounting and point-of-sale systems.I left the field in 2005 and pursued another college degree, Accounting. I graduated in 2011. I took up accounting because I wanted to understand the concepts and framework of the accounting systems I helped develop when I was still working in the IT industry.Unfortunately, after graduation in 2011, I had no more desire to go back to corporate work. I tried freelance writing in 2011 because I wanted to do things I wasn't able to do when I was with the IT industry. I wanted to travel and do volunteer work. My being a freelance worker allowed me to have more free time to do things I've been longing to do.I'm currently working for several clients in Upwork. I'm also running a small non-government organization that caters to children affected by traumatic experiences.
