From initial concept onward, contributed to many different aspects of the product, including requirements, architecture, UX/UI, implementation, testing, and deployment.Did extensive work on the design and implementation of the service and domain layers (C#, WCF), including integration with telemetry data sources (OPC) and engineering calculation engines (well modelling, production forecasting, etc.) Also significantly involved with client-side development (WPF).Also worked on creating a commercial well performance modelling and completion design tool (C#). My emphasis was on custom graphical controls and integration with other engineering applications.On the DevOps side, I made headway on automating and improving our builds and deployments (TFS, WiX, InstallShield), which in turn saved the team many hours.

Full-stack web development on the Microsoft platform, creating business apps for corporate users across a large organization. I designed and built numerous ASP.NET web apps (mostly C#), including the back-end components (SQL Server, data warehouses). Frequently this involved integration with other custom systems, often via webservices. Many projects required significant front-end development (JavaScript, jQuery, etc). I also worked quite often with SharePoint (custom web parts, FAST search, etc).My biggest and most high-profile project was a complete re-do of our nov.com site, for which I was the technical lead. This new site was built on the Ektron CMS platform with numerous customized features, such as a dynamically-generated "mega menu", integration with other systems (such as a DMS), and an enhanced search solution using FAST.

I developed reliability engineering software (using LabVIEW and C++) that controlled BlackBerries in connection with various advanced cellular test systems. My main contributions were adding support for new BlackBerry models, such as the 81xx and 87xx series, and mobile technologies, such as EDGE. I created new applications while also maintaining and improving a significant amount of legacy code. A notable success there was re-writing our lab's acoustic test software in order to achieve more accurate results.I also did Oracle database design and PL/SQL development, particularly to improve data logging, along with web-based reporting off that data.
