As founding director of the Center for Applied Contemplative Studies, my stewardship revolves around mindfulness meditation initiatives and fostering intercultural exchange and dialogue. With over a decade at the University of Northern Colorado, my tenure has been marked by cultivating spaces where collective wisdom thrives, integrating contemplative practices with cultural inquiry and academic rigor. I get excited about opportunities where I can partner with others to integrate mindfulness training and practices into inter- and cross-cultural initiatives.My expertise lies in bridging the gaps between different cultural groups, elevating the importance of mindfulness in conflict transformation, and the role of cultural heritage in cultural survival and evolution. Collaborating with various entities, from immigrant centers to international research organizations, my mission is to harness contemplative insights for societal benefit, with a focus on ethical contemplative research and education.
