• Lead the effort in developing business rules for the design of the Unites States Veterans Eligibility Trends System (USVETS) Dimensional Model – an OLAP cube integrating over 40 million Veterans records from various Department of Defense and Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) sources• Perform VA’s “Unique Veteran Users” analysis – a profile of over 9 million Veterans who use VA benefits and services• Serve as the point of contact between the National Center for Veterans Analysis & Statistics (NCVAS) and various other entities within VA on issues related to data sharing• Serve as the subject matter expert on Veterans who receive VA Disability Compensation payments for injuries incurred or aggravated as a result of their military service• Perform various data analyses to support decision-making efforts of the Assistant Secretary for Policy and Planning including Veterans disability trends, cost estimation, utilization trends, and population demography

• Performed statistical analysis on an integrated, SAS-based, employee transaction file from disparate federal government data files to support expert testimony for various class action lawsuits against hiring discrimination• Developed various nonlinear regression models to determine the impact of ambient air pollution on human mortality in several US cities using several years of daily air pollution measures and mortality micro-data• Performed an analysis and drafted a final report for a nationwide survey on mining safety procedures in the US in support of the National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health• Prepare monthly compliance and adhoc reports for the District of Columbia Public School system based on data analysis from extractions of their customized, web-based, operational database of students’ claims• Built an analytic database of DC-based theatre productions for the Helen Hayes Awards including judges, raw scores, production casts, and production characteristics and performed data mining and analysis to support the selection process for judges and award nominees• Provide SAS programming and data analysis in support of various tasks that include manipulation and normalization of medium-sized and large data files from disparate sources• Conduct exploratory data analyses on a variety of data including surveys and scientific studies

• Develop plans for updating and/or enhancing EIA’s fully integrated, FORTRAN-based, National Energy Modeling System (NEMS) to produce projections of future domestic crude oil and natural gas production through 2035• Provide material assistance in the redesign and implementation of the Onshore Lower 48 Oil and Gas Supply Submodule (OLOGSS) of NEMS including output database design and a system for maintaining and updating model inputs and assumptions• Compile and analyze data on exploration/production costs and operators’ capital expenditures as reported in EIA’s Financial Reporting System to establish and/or update cost assumptions for modeling future drilling levels• Act as the database administrator for the Oil and Gas Supply Module of NEMS, which includes establishing working relationships with various entities throughout the organization and identifying ways to streamline the data acquisition and model enhancement process• Analyze energy-related market data, engineering and enterprise activities, programs, and/or policies through an established analysis plan that outlines the approach, appropriate tools, alternative analysis tools, and required resources• Serve as EIA’s official point of contact on issues regarding future domestic production of crude oil and natural gas• Received a grade increase and special recognition for drafting EIA’s official submission to the International Energy Agency’s annual review of US energy policy
