• Assisted with State Department funded initiative to create a comprehensive geospatial database of recorded and previously unrecorded archaeological sites across Afghanistan, as well as researching the impact of urban development, military infrastructure, looting, and mining industries on the nation’s archaeological/heritage resources. • Collected or created geo-referenced maps, satellite imagery, and Digital Elevation Models [DEMs] for use in systematic remote surveys of Afghan provinces and spatial analysis. • Led small team of volunteers and coworkers in the largest (by area) remote survey project yet conducted by the AHMP, resulting in the contribution of a new dataset (500+ sites) and original archaeological research.
