My roles included:- Supporting the Director Corporate Services in the execution of functions related to corporate services, mainly human resources and financial issues (including recruitment and business planning respectively);- Being responsible for all the Tendering processes of the Ministry including the tendering for the Tendering of Malta’s Presidency of the Council of the EU 2017, as well as the tendering processes of the Managing Authorities for the EU funds for Malta which are the Planning and Priorities Co-ordination Division (PPCD), the Funds and Programmes Division (FPD), and the Measures and Support Division (MSD)- Apart from the supporting and procurement role at the Ministry, given that I was posted at one of the satellite premises of the Ministry which houses the PPCD, FPD and MSD (the EU Funds Office), I supported these divisions by:- Directing facilities and administrative support services, including premisesmanagement, building and office accommodations and security services;- Ensuring staff have access to the tools necessary to carry out their work through the provision of effective information technology- Co-ordinating the administrative office (including staff) of EU Funds Office in a smooth and efficient manner;- Ensuring that the programme of maintenance work required at EU Funds Office premises is being implemented in a timely manner and that repairs and maintenance are efficiently coordinated;- Co-ordinating of the EU Funds Office archives (including taking care of the warehouse of the Office)- Co-ordinating issues related to staff transport and green travel;- Acting as focal point on health and safety as well as data protection issues.
