The PhD is funded by Arvalis (French Technical Institute for wheat, maize, potato and flax.) with a CIFRE grant.- PhD topic: The challenge of robust trait estimates with Deep Learning on high-resolution RGB imagery.- Arvalis’ Trait modules: Development and deployment of field agronomic traits from UAV / robots/ camera: wheat head detection, disease quantification, mixed crop phenotyping.- Research Projects: Grants writing. Management of 5 interns during three years.- Key sucesses: ·Global Wheat Head Dataset: Coordination of the largest international, open source Deep Learning database for wheat head counting, involving 10 countries and 16 institutions.. 2 Data challenges were organized in 2020 and 2021 on Kaggle (2235 competitors) and AIcrowd (441 competitors). ·Teaching: 1st International Training School for Young Scholars (Nanjing, 2019), AnaEE Summer school (France, 2021)
