Laboratory Manager at Oudtshoorn DAFF Approved SANAS/ISO 17025 accredited Laboratory (V0050). Rapid, automated Individual Bacteria Count (IBC) on Milk is offered using advanced Bentley IBC technology that provides repeatable and accurate IBC results in minutes.Food safety testing involves classic ISO based Microbiological Testing for a range of typical organisms on dairy samples, water samples and most common other food matrices as well as environmental samples. Veterinary diagnostic testing is done using state-of-the art Serology and Molecular Biology methods. The Diagnostics Laboratory currently specializes in the following fields:Diagnostic (RT-PCR): AI; NDV; MS/MG; IBV; AHSV; EEV; Campylobacter; Tritrichomonas; Diagnostic (Serology): AI, NDV (with the potential to test for most diseases for which commercial serology kits are available). Current Personal Specialties:Laboratory Management in compliance with ISO17025 and Good Financial Practice. Technical expertise in Method Validation of Chemical Methods. Calibration, use and maintenance of FOSS CombiFoss FT+ milk analyzer. Use and maintenance of Bentley IBC milk analyzer. Calibration and use of cryoscopes to determine milk FPD. Milk screening for antibiotics, alkaline phosphatase and peroxide. Dairy Reference Testing using ISO based methods for fat, protein, total solids, salt/chloride. **I have considerable experience and expertise in forensic drug chemistry, clandestine drug production, forensic chemistry, forensic laboratory management, forensic quality management, ISO17025 laboratory accreditation, method development and method validation.
