I am Ettore Panetti, Associate Professor of Finance at the University of Naples Federico II. My work is driven by a deep interest in the dynamics of banking and financial stability, with a particular focus on bank liquidity, regulation, the role of panics as triggers of financial crises, and the real-world impact of credit shocks.In addition to my academic role, I am a researcher at the Centre for Studies in Economics and Finance (CSEF) and a research affiliate at CRENoS, SUERF (The European Money and Finance Forum) and UECE-ISEG. My research has been published in esteemed economic journals such as the Review of Finance, the Journal of Money, Credit and Banking, and the Journal of Banking & Finance.I hold a BA in Economics (Summa cum Laude) from Bocconi University, an MSc in Economics with Distinction from University College London, and a PhD in Economics from the IIES at Stockholm University. Before joining the University of Naples Federico II, I worked for 7 years at Banco de Portugal, where I was exposed to the most challenging policy issues of the Euro Area of those times: the implementation of the European Banking Union, the long-term effects of the EU Sovereign Debt Crisis, the fight against deflation. These experiences have shaped my analytical approach and deepened my passion for understanding and solving complex financial issues.Outside of my professional pursuits, I enjoy immersing myself in music, attending live concerts, watching soccer, reading novels, cooking, and spending time at the beach. I believe in maintaining a balance between academic rigor and personal passions.
