Involved 4 placements. 2 months as an Engineering Technician learning all that is Ocado on cutting edge technology, learning vital hand skills.5 months working on Product Continuous Improvement. Developing accelerated testing equipment to simulate mechanical wear, allowing predictive maintenance and producing an increased reliable product. RCA on a range of problems, analysing data and producing comparisons on improvements proposed.6 months learning all things management at Ocado’s most productive site, eventually leading the shift as an Engineering Team Manager. Developing key skills, understanding different technology and preparing to lead a team of 23.The final 6 month placement involved in working Engineering Operations at Ocado’s newest site. Understanding work processes, improving efficiency and effectiveness of the teams work.

In the summer of 2015 I worked for Acumen Logistics which involved picking live orders of car parts for Jaguar Land Rover working in an early shift and fast paced environment. The parts included cabin and engine harness’, wiring and electrical connections used in the cars. The parts would be picked, checked and then distributed in a quick, efficient manner.

I worked for the agency group Staffline as a general operative in Winsford for the supermarket Morrisons. This involved maintaining high standards of packaging and production and keeping the workplace hygienic. Whilst I was there I was asked to help in the engineering department for a duration of two weeks. I helped the department with a wide range of tasks such as general maintenance and organisation of the workplace. I was also involved in the food safety team and was asked to complete reports after a factory food safety inspection was taken place.

I have spent several months working for Unipart Automotive which involved filling stock orders with high accuracy, stacking shelves, cleaning and maintaining the warehouse and listening to customer queries for the car parts distribution company.
