Hello, my name is Euana Matute. I am currently a junior at Stevens High School and I participate in various extracurriculars. I am a captain of the Stevens Speech and Debate team and was recently awarded the Superior Distinction Degree by National Speech and Debate Association. I am also part of the school's knowledge bowl team, which has won the regional championship for two consecutive years, as well as a member of the Roberta K. Gaines Chapter of National Honor Society. Outside of school, I am also very active in our community. As the current Vice Chairperson of the Rapid City Youth City Council, I am responsible for connecting with youth and adults to communicate and solve city concerns through project and policy. I was also one of four youth in the nation chosen to serve in the National League of Cities' Youth, Education, and Families council, where leaders from all around the US learn, network, and advocate for issues that affect their communities.
