As a Business, Human Rights, Sustainability professional, I am driven by the desire to help businesses of all sizes to identify and mitigate their environmental and human rights risks in business operations and supply chains. Driven by my passion for this area, some of my key achievements have been:▪Winning an Individual Impact Award from Unseen UK in 2024 for pioneering new best practice standards for modern slavery mitigation in the small- and medium- enterprise space.▪︎Developing sustainabilty & human rights consulting services for UK private & education sectors, covering sustainability, social value & human rights.▪Conducting supply chain modern slavery risk mapping on projects covering roughly £1.5 billion in procurement spend across more than 4,000 suppliers across the private and public sectorWith two years of experience in human rights due diligence consulting, I have had the opportunity to work with various organizations across different countries and cultures, such as STOP THE TRAFFIK in London and The Mekong Club in Hong Kong. Through my work in these various consultancies, I have gained a deep understanding of the human rights risks facing organizations around the world.I have trained employees from the board level to frontline staff in various industries, including hospitality and financial services, on how to identify and prevent human rights risks in their operations. I have also provided guidance to local governments on how to mitigate human rights risks in their supply chains through webinars and advisory services. All the above require skills in developing relevant and role-specific advice for staff of clients, in order to maximise the capacity building impact of these consulting services. The breadth of organisation types I have trained gives me insight into what both private and public sector human rights due diligence needs and challenges are, and how to address them. My trainings have had a 60% increase in awareness and 90% satisfaction rate.Within the small- and medium- enterprise space, I have championed ways for how small organisations can make huge impact in human rights. After my work in supporting multi-national corporates with their human rights strategies, my developing and leading Value Match's modern slavery strategy, without a budget or a human rights team, gained me an Individual Impact Award from Unseen UK in 2024, even up against stiff competition from larger companies.All this demonstrates the grit required, and creative, results-driven, and data-validated approach to my work that drives real impact.
