Process Engineer in the Process Design Team at Mabbett. Worked on process design projects across a range of industries with a particular focus on distilling. These projects have included process design of new build distilleries, expansion/relocation of existing facilities and process improvement to increase energy efficiency and reduce carbon emissions of existing processes. A summary of my key responsibilities in this role are as follows:• Preparation and development of piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs)• Specification, sizing and design of process equipment, pipework and venting.• Development of equipment and line lists.• Development of control philosophy.• Participation in hazard and operability (HAZOP) studies.• Evaluation of the energy efficiency of existing process and subsequent development of energy savings opportunities complete with a corresponding business case. • Correspondence with both clients, contractors and suppliers throughout the duration of a project.
