In these cases, I would be required to prepare such a submission and ensure that all arguments are well supported by conducting in depth research. - Preparing IRAS submissions based on facts provided including in depth research from E-tax guides issued by the IRAS and precedents from countries with GST/VAT to support my position of the correct GST treatment that should be applied. - Liaising with the ATO/ IRAS directly on behalf of the client to discuss contentious issues. Clients include: Experian Information Solutions Incorporation, Transitions Optical.- Identifying other (non-GST) tax issues which may impact on GST advice being provided and obtaining relevant input to advice from appropriate specialists. - Reviewing Business Activity Statement (“BAS”)/ GST F5 GST Returns prepared by staff and being accountable to client and tax authorities for figures derived and the GST treatment applied by the client. - Applying Australian GST concepts to the Singapore GST practice where appropriate. - Conducting business development and marketing opportunities. - Proactively introducing Australian clients to the Singapore practice and vice versa. - Effective delegation of work to graduates and consultants according to their workload and experience including on the job training and coaching where appropriate. - Conducting technical training for consultants and the GST team.
