Product Manager
Current• Maintain current sales volumes per product• Identify key Customers per product who form the core of total volumes sold• Develop a strategic plan to ensure this business is not lost with these Customers• Identify all lost business per product and Customer on a regular basis and ensure lost business is regained.• Identify new potential Customers and business as well as ensure the business is gained for the purpose of volume growth per product• Build up a product and Customer data base per product under the portfolio• Identify the opposition and acquire in depth knowledge about the company, product, source and pricing.• Build up knowledge about applications in order to seek new opportunities within industries, etc• Build up knowledge about how products are traded on the international front as well as what outside elements affect the availability of these products• Identify and develop new products and agencies.• Responsible for slow moving stock as well as redundant stocks with the product portfolio.• Assist co-coordinating sales of product and ordering of stock on a national basis• Complete monthly and/or quarterly reports as required• Engage in regular contact with principles regarding samples, pricing, Customer requests, tenders and other day to day issues.• Play a strategic part in assisting with the setting of monthly price lists, as well as a part in stock meetings and the decisions taken during these meetings• Play a key role in day-to-day communication• Conduct joint Customer visits on a national basis• Manage product training to be done on a national basis, with the clusters where products may be sold• Maintain Supplier file containing relevant information such as price lists, dimensions, shipping terms, manufacturing sites, as well as any Supplier specific requirements• Manage and implement strategy to drive growth across all sectors• Co-ordinate and arrange any site visits & audits• Stock Management – Working Capital Management
