I write esports and gaming related articles, news pieces, guides, etc. My primary focus is on fighting games, League of Legends, and Rocket League. Still, I contribute to other sections as well.

I create text content around CS2, Dota 2, and other games

DashFight is a media platform for the fighting games community. I delved pretty deep into fighting games and fighting esports to feel the passion and create content the community enjoys. The project is part of WePlay Esports / WePlay Studios. All my posts can be found here: https://dashfight.com/authors/eugene-zh-4 My responsibilities and achievements at this position include:- Support the stream of news posts that reflects the industry’s life and motivates users to visit the platform regularly. In addition to writing about various game updates and community info, I’ve covered many important esports events on the website and on social media.- Build the basis for high positions of the platform in search engines for relevant queries. I worked closely with an SEO specialist to add keywords to my text and cover popular topics. One of my Brawlhalla articles has been bringing the most visits to the platform for a few years in a row.- Create an interlinked structure of guides for beginners/intermediate players in specific games to provide DashFight users with practically helpful info.- Write in-depth articles that establish the authority of DashFight in the fighting games community. Some of these articles were published on external platforms as guest posts.- Participate in the creative work on DashFight’s YouTube channel as a script writer. I’ve generated quite a few ideas for video topics and have written voice-over text. Some of my videos are among the most-viewed on the channel.- Develop a light-hearted, friendly tone of voice that supports the general atmosphere in/around my articles and builds long-term relationships with users.- Grow brand awareness among industry professionals: esports players and commentators/analysts. I’ve published quite a few interviews with prominent personalities from the community.Developing DashFight from an idea to the level of the best platform in the fighting games niche is also my achievement as part of the team.

As part of the marketing team, I was responsible for all the text content on the official site, posts on external platforms, and also for establishing tone of voice in communication with customers, partners, and investors. I coordinated a team in the process of all content creation and publishing for the corporate blog.My biggest achievements in this position are:- developing the corporate blog from scratch almost totally on my own (from building the content strategy to writing articles and coming up with ideas on images);- filling product pages with informative descriptions – this is the face of the company’s ecosystem, and basis for its further growth;- conveying the idea of this start-up in clear text on the official site and on many business presentations. I adapted the text to many changes during the initial period of the company development.

I worked in the SEO department of this company, a digital marketplace of in-game items. I also worked closely with the marketing and development departments. My text pieces here include:- Articles on the general gaming topics for the company’s blog;- Guest posts for external sites;- Articles about Counter-Strike: guides, news pieces, reviews of esports tournaments;- Monthly reviews of the upcoming games (choosing and description);- Articles about significant gaming events (conferences, trade fairs);- SEO description of subcategories on the marketplace (Counter-Strike weapons, Dota 2 heroes, etc.) and individual product cards (in-game items);- Text content for the Skins.Cash project – articles to the blog, SEO and technical text pieces;- Emails for services’ subscribers (Skins.Cash and DMarket);- Various text content for additional projects of the company.Main achievements: creating a strong content base for the official blog that helped the project reach high positions in search engines, engage existing users of the service and attract new people. My articles on external sites and activity on social networks strengthened the reputation of DMarket in the gaming community as an authoritative and reliable service.

We were a team of two creators. I worked on web-projects creation and promotion (text content as a primary service, but also videos, pictures, activity on social networks, simple HTML coding, etc.). We worked with clients through various freelance platforms. Here are details of this job:- Game descriptions for various projects: from online mini-games to AAA-games for marketplaces;- Gaming guides – for beginners to grab the basics and for advanced players to learn new tricks;- Entertainment news (games, culture, celebrities life); - Descriptions of kids toys, books, sports equipment, gadgets, gaming hardware for specialized online shops;- Articles about computer technology;- Travel and yoga articles.Most of my work was connected to the game industry, but I also created content for other types of web-projects. Main achievements: reaching top positions in search engines for the projects we worked with; implementation of plans for the number of visitors; development and implementation of content plans.

I worked as a journalist and editor for a news website. I was accredited in the Ukrainian parliament. My responsibilities were:• Creating texts for the “Society” section;• Filling the “Fun” section with information from social networks;• Filling the news feed with important or just interesting information.Also, I attended cultural events and wrote articles about them.Main achievements: creation from scratch and development of two new sections on the site.

I wrote articles for newspapers, magazines, and websites (Segodnya, Kievskiye Vedomosti, Wellness, and others). For example, I wrote about cultural events and created reviews of books.Also, I cooperated with the Red Bull company in making PR-articles about their events, such as Air Race and X-Fighters.

Whilst studying in the University, I worked in a shop of branded toys, managing sections of Lego, board games, and jigsaw puzzles.
