I am responsible for the delivery of water and wastewater treatment projects across a sales region contributing to the Design, Delivery, Installation and Commissioning of standard and turnkey design and construct water treatment projects, ensuring all legal obligations are fulfilled and risks are managed.

I coordinated all of the design work (process, civil, structural, mechanical) required for wastewater related projects. Managed the production of technical drawings and plans used for submission to consultants and various local authorities.

I have been involved in more than 20 small to large scale water, sewage and industrial wastewater treatment projects in Malaysia with Tripoly Environmental Engineering since 2004. The types of projects I have delivered were:1) Potable Water Treatment Plants: From either treated effluent or surface water.2) Demineralisation Water Treatment Plants: For boilers, used in energy generation.3) Sewage Treatment Plants: Conventional, Extended Aeration, SBR, Trickling Filters. 4) Sewage Pumping Stations: Dry Well and Wet Well type.5) Industrial Wastewater Treatment Plants: Chemical and Biological Treatment for low to high strength wastewater covering a range of industries from food processing, rubber, palm oil, plastics recycling to leachate.Other Environmental Engineering related projects managed were:1) Air Pollution Control Scrubbers (Wet and Dry): For medical sterilisation companies (BBraun) to odour Scrubbers for major housing developers.2) Water/Wastewater Ancillary Infrastructure and Fabrication Projects: Installation of gravity sewer lines (open trench, pipe jacking), pumping mains (HDPE, ductile iron, cast iron, stainless steel) and fabrication of fibreglass/steel tanks, screens and pressure vessels.3) OHSE: I oversaw more than 3 major HAZOPS Studies on upgrading existing operational water/wastewater Treatment Plants.I am also well versed in the process design of treatment plants, having designed activated sludge treatment plants for sewage and industrial wastewater applications. This included equipment selection/sizing of the M&E equipment in the Process & Instrumentation Diagram as well as the plumbing systems in treatment plants (gravity flow lines (for pipes and open channels) and pressurised mains). At times, I managed some ad hoc consultancy work for certain clients who were unable to meet the EPA discharge limits by reviewing/troubleshooting their treatment process.

I partnered with a Malaysian training services provider (Cambridge Training) and the Environmental Institute of Malaysia (EIMAS) to develop 3 day Seminars on Water, Industrial Wastewater Treatment and Reuse. Attendance for my seminars was part of the Continuous Professional Development (CPD) program for ‘Competent Persons’ i.e. those legally recognized (by the EPA of Malaysia) to maintain wastewater treatment plants in their factory premises.1) I have Personally Trained and Educated more than 300 engineers, technicians, factory personnel and middle management staff from various industries (attendees included those from Shell, Petronas, Coca-Cola, Canon etc) on industrial wastewater treatment.

Project Management for ExxonMobil's Asia Pacific Retail Construction Program. The programs and projects I oversaw were:1) ExxonMobil's Reimaging Program which was to upgrade the retail facilities of over 200 Esso & Mobil service stations throughout Malaysia.2) ExxonMobil's Underground Tank & Piping Replacement Program for 50 service stations in Malaysia with a CAPEX of RM 100 Million. The program involved replacing old underground steel fuel tanks/pipes with newer non-metallic materials.3) The Retail Construction of 2 brand new service stations in the northern region of Malaysia (Penang).
