Involved in community work for thirty years, in recent years Eugene has brought his business experience, particularly in change management, to build community competence and capacity in addressing climate change. Eugene is a founding member of Dunleer Sustainable Energy Community, a not for profit group that established Energy Team, which provides a one stop shop service on energy from education to implementation, to communities across Ireland. Offerings range from energy and renewable energy education to administration of all aspects of retrofitting to make homes and community facilities warmer and more efficient, leading to removing significant amounts of CO2 from the atmosphere and the reduction of energy use.
