Since the age of 13 through 18, I have always worked in a team capacity, which was with my father and his strong work ethics.I learned the aspect of teamwork, which were supported with the values and morals from the United States Marine Corp (Trust before Dishonor). In 1985, I continued my service to the community and people by starting my law enforcement career.I started in Vallejo, California as a Reserve Officer and promoted to a Full-time Police Officer for 7 1/2 years. In 1992, I relocated to the State of Ohio. I attended school, worked with several security companies and Detroit Edison Nuclear Security Team.In 1996, I moved to Columbus, Ohio and join the elite Columbus Police Department. I have worked within the Patrol Division for my whole career. I completed a 60 day temporary assignment with DEA as a translator. In 2012, I was promoted to a Sergeant. I was blessed with the operational and management control of two (2) Precinct, 14 & 18. I strongly believe my leadership skills have enhanced three (8) officers to a Sergeant's and Lieutenant positions. In addition, I have managed approximately six (6) officers through the successful Field Training Officer careers. Today, I continue to grow by attending Supervisor and Management Courses. I believe training and education is the best way to deescalate and manage a traumatic situation.Leadership is the role for many individual who continue their role in helping employees, companies met their goals.The Executive Role of a Supervisor is being able to hire, monitor and mentor the personnel in organization to success. Your personnel depends on their immediate leader to be successfully. This will ensure true dedication to their success within the organization.
