While at AECOM (started out at Reid Crowther then they were taken over by Earth Tech - A Tyco Company then AECOM took over) I wore many hats in my I.T. role. I designed and maintained the networking back bone (at Earth Tech in their former Rosser St. Location). Maintained the CheckPoint Firewall at Reid Crowther. Analyzed and improved the network using SNMP and MRTG to graph and record network performance. Maintained MRTG on Linux Red Hat server running Apache Web Server. Migrated users from CC Mail to Lotus Notes then to Exchange. Maintained Exchange servers and user accounts on Novel Netware and MS Active Directory. Migrated workstations from Windows 95 to 2000 to XP and to Windows 7. Proactively kept the BC region on a workstation migration path so as to avoid the XP EOL deadline. Maintained back ups on ArchServe for Netware and BackUp Exec using various tape drives (Exabyte 8mm and Dell DLT and LTO drives). Maintained and programmed CISCO switches and routers including PIX firewall. Migrated servers from Netware to Windows 2000 to 2003. Created and maintained workstation images. Maintained installation repositories for software. Archived project and user data.
