Cybersecurity is more than a career for me; it is a passion that drives me to constantly learn, improve, and protect the digital world. I started my journey at the Advanced Technologies Academy, a magnet high school in Nevada that offered me a rigorous and hands-on education in IT Essentials and Routing & Switching. There, I developed a solid foundation in computer systems, networking, and troubleshooting, which sparked my interest in cybersecurity.To further pursue this interest, I enrolled in the College of Southern Nevada, where I am currently working towards my Associate of Arts and Sciences degree in Network Security. Under the guidance of seasoned experts, I have honed my skills in threat analysis, disaster recovery, and project management, and earned industry certifications like the CompTIA Security+. As a System Operator at the El Cortez Hotel & Casino, I monitor and maintain the network and security systems of the organization. Additionally, I stay abreast of the latest cyber threats and innovations by conducting personal research, attending premier cybersecurity events like BSidesLV and DEF CON, and being a paying member of EFF and an avid listener of Darknet Diaries. With an insatiable appetite for knowledge and an unwavering commitment to security excellence, I am poised to make a positive impact in our increasingly interconnected world.
