Eugene Foo is currently an Art Director at Circle Studio, MALAYSIA. He has spent the majority of his career weaving between industry and also academia because of his love for the practice, and also sharing with his passion for animation and art with younger people. Previously, his industry portfolio mainly consists of motion graphic videos for an array of both commercial clientele and NGO bodies such as U-mobile, Eu Yan Sang, SoulSociety Group, Friedchillies, Habilitar UK, Empower Malaysia, and JPKK. However, more recently he has begun to dig back into his illustration and drawing roots and expanded into concept art and production design for animation.He has a knack for designing and imagining fantasy worlds with bizarre creatures and also has a deep interest in storytelling. He is a strong believer that we need more Southeast Asian representation on screen and that we need to also peer back into our former visual conventions and explore the possibilities of helping them transcend on newer mediums. His most recent endeavor when he was a lecturer at UTAR was directing a short film titled, Walinong Sari of which has been receiving accolades internationally.
