Developing Fast Algo Trading system, bugfixing, refactoring, C++, Linux

I supported and developed file backup library, one of the crucial parts of Acronis's flagship Backup and Recovery product. It included implementing of new functionality, profiling and optimization, writing tests, refactoring and bugfixing. I improved reading of small files from network shares (author of patent pending technologies USPTO) which significantly reduced time required for network share backups. I took part in creating of the storage server software, another crucial part of the product. I also regularly committed to customers support.

I designed, developed, deployed and maintained support of data aquisition subsystem for the SCADA telemetry system of the plant based on QNX operating system. I created drivers and resource managers along with heterogenous data transmission environment. It included dealing with hardware devices connected to ISA and PCI buses, challenging programming of DMA data transfers, driving serial buses like RS485 and sharing them between lots of different devices, implementing different data transmission protocols and heavy TCP/IP utilization for the data transmission over the network. I also took part in fiber-channel network installation and setup. Different parts of the system were commissioned in 2003-2008 totaling in about 20.000 signals gathered by 60 PCs and covering several buildings spread across the territory of the plant.

Part time, remote work.I designed and developed printed-report subsystem for medical statistics software, based on C# Developer Express .NET library.

Part time, remote work.I've designed and created ultra fast C++ PDF generating library. On top of it I've created automated data-driven report generation subsystem, template generation API, data conditioning library and PDF template editing library. The created report system was up to 10 times faster comparing to commercially available third-party solutions.

I've created a set of report tools in WYSIWYG concept on top of sales and production databases for customers' debt tracking.
