Generates electrical Engineering Design packages. Prepare basic and detail design, implement and commission brown field projects. Project management on small, medium and larger size projects. These include the compilation of electrical packages, generation of system philosophies, general assembly layout of electrical cabinets, panel sizing and verification, aboveground cable routing layouts, bill of materials and construction scope of work, electrical material requisitions, provides input into technical bid reviews, detail design implementation on SmartPlant Electrical to generate intool software drawings, electrical data sheets, schematic and connection diagrams. Conducts Factory Acceptance Tests (FATs), performs commissions designs. Reviews electrical engineering designs by enforcing Sasol and international specifications and standards. Follows Management of Change (MOC) procedures to ensure quality, integrity and traceability of plant modifications. Provides technical support and assists in troubleshooting plant and operational problems by means of root cause analysis. Mentor others in electrical design requirements, specifications and good engineering practice. Completed installation rules certification 2016.
