Responsibilities: Apply the highest standards of controls, risk management practices and behaviours to ensure that staff and customers are safe and secure. Pro-actively identifying security risks/threats/ vulnerabilities and modus operandi by conducting Risk Assessments/On site investigations/Due Diligence assessments through incident based reporting/intelligence products i.e. SABRIC reports/Internal Audit forensic reports etc. Implement world class best practices to enhance the day to day business environment in a safe and secure manner. Chair A&I/Risk and Project meetings that will conform to the policy framework. Perform stretch assignments i.e. two significant milestone tansition programs and Absa Data Centre Co-location onto SBSA property in Sandram in addition to day to day functions and responsibilities. Management of physical security projects. Provide training to staff wrt awareness, security equipment, policies and procedures in order to conform to the physical security risk & controls embedded in the policy framework. Manage and train security FSPs in order to reduce repetitional risk to the Absa brand. Conduct training on the Leaver access revocation (LARP) process and Coordinate regional site security point of contacts(SPOC). Chair regional security risk management meetings.

Responsibilities included investigation of serious and violent crime incidents through to prosecution, co-ordination of incidents perpetrated against SBSA on a nationally, gathering of information, generating an intelligence product that are shared with various Law enforcement agencies, FSPs and the South African Bank Risk Information Centre(SABRIC) Representing SBSA at SABRIC on various violent & serious crime workgroups and closely working with industry peers on mitigating crimes perpetrated against the SBSA brand. Collaborate with FSPs and industry experts and academia i.e. CSIR understand the failures post incident and to re-design/enhance security products in an ever evolving criminal environment. Co-ordination of special operations together with Law enforcement segments to mitigate attacks on SBSA staff, customers, assets i.e. branches, ATMs and Corporate buildings etc. Security assessment of executive’s residents, providing on site training to executives and their families wrt residential crime threats attacks, threats and vulnerabilities.
