    CARESTER ? With over 250 years of cumulated experience in the rare earth industry, Carester is leading the CAREMAG project for the construction of a permanent magnets recycling plant in the Southwest of France to recover rare earth elements and supply them to help the industry. The recycling plant will have a yearly capacity of 2000t of permanent magnets. These permanent magnets are crucial in applications related to energy transition, digital transformation, and electric mobility.
    HOW ? We are collecting end-of-life permanent magnets containing rare earths to produce rare earth oxides through our recycling process. By doing so, we contribute (1) to the recyclability of these elements and (2) to the sovereignty of France and Europe in this critical supply chain.

    CARESTER ? Société forte de plus de 250 ans d'expérience dans le domaine des terres rares, Carester porte le projet (sous le nom CAREMAG) de construction d'une usine de recyclage d'aimants permanents dans le Sud-Ouest de la France pour en récupérer les terres rares. Ces aimants permanents sont omniprésents dans les applications liées à la transition énergétique, à la transition numérique et à la mobilité électrique.

    COMMENT ? Nous collectons ces aimants en fin de vie, abimés ou bien même issus de chutes de production pour produire des oxydes de terres rares grâce à notre processus de recyclage, et ainsi nous contribuons (1) à la recyclabilité de ces éléments et (2) à la souveraineté de la France et de l'Europe sur ces approvisionnements stratégiques pour lesquels nous dépendons aujourd'hui largement d'autres pays.
