• Respond to student inquiries via lectures, phone calls and emails. • Interview prospective students to determine their backgrounds, goals and objectives. • Educate both students and media professionals on the benefits of Temple University’s high-quality academic programs.• Assist students with the job application process and partner with companies to finalize internship enrollments. • Achieve quarterly performance objectives and follow-up with students to provide ongoing encouragement and support for future career employment.• Participate in appropriate recruitment and enrollment activities including: open houses, regional presentations, training sessions, orientation programs, career days, etc.

The BlackStar Film Festival is a celebration of cinema focused on work by and about people of African descent in a global context. BlackStar highlights films that are often overlooked from emerging, established, and mid-career directors, writers and producers working in narrative, documentary, experimental and music video filmmaking.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:• Support the organization’s strategic direction to assist with achieving its mission.• Work closely with the board and staff to develop and carry out organizational and financial plans that ensure fiscal stability, high-quality programs, new initiatives and a positive community presence.• Along with the Board and Artistic Director, develop and maintain effective relationships with stakeholders, funders, patrons, agencies, organizations, and the general public. • Along with the Board and Artistic Director, create financial projections based on prior performance to ensure the organizations success.• Encourage staff and volunteer development and education, and assist program staff in relating their specialized work to the total program of the organization.• Identify and promote the BlackStar Film Festival in industry publications.• Selecting film-judging panels.• Implement and grow the current Short Screenplay Competition program as directed by the Artistic Director and Board of Directors. Activities include promoting the program in schools or organizations, procuring script submissions, script selections, juror selections, live reading scheduling and awards.
