    - As a synthetic chemist, designed (using computational tools) and synthesized molecules optimized for in vitro/in vivo efficacy, selectivity, physicochemical, pharmacokinetic/pharmacodynamic (PK/PD) relationships and findings from ADME (absorption, distribution, metabolism, and excretion), permeability, and toxicology studies.- As a Computational Chemist, developed new expertise toward the advancement of pre-screening, lead identification, and lead optimization efforts. - Utilized modeling and synthetic skills to create templates designed to optimize Kemp’s “prior thiol capture” peptide bond formation strategy. The new templates were more efficient than earlier templates.- Re-engineered the “transient amine capture” strategy of peptide bond formation. Investigated the new approach through synthetic and computational studies.- Computer-aided design of heterocyclic frameworks to be used as helix-initiation templates in the study of alpha-helix formation within small polypeptides.
