Senior Software Engineer - Contractor, Tech Valley Talent, OCFS 04/2017 – PresentFAMS – Facility Application & Management SystemThe FAMS application is a LEAN initiative for the “Office of Children and Family Services” (OCFS) to streamline daycare centers application process and to facilitate communication between OCFS and the individual day care centers across New York State. It’s a .Net 3-Tier, MVC application with Oracle Database on the backend, using XML transport medium. The application allows day care centers to fill out, validate and submit applications online with all supporting documentation.It also provides bidirectional communication between OCFS Day care Staff and all enrolled day care centers across the state. The greatest benefit of the application is to eliminate the large annual cost of paper, postage and manual validations of many area's and it will also facilitate real time communication between home office, training and the day care centers.FAMS Reports Development - SSRS:In conjunction with this, we were tasked with the creation of reports, which reflected exactly that being captured in the FAMS application, at significant milestones in the application process (snapshots), which could stand up to legal scrutiny. At the end of the application process a series of snapshot reports are then available, reflecting the data captured up to and including those milestone periods. Regularly tasked with deployment of reports to lower environments for testing.

Senior Software Engineer - Contractor, Tech Valley Talent, OCFS 04/2015 – 04/2017FTHA – ‘Family Type Homes for Adults’ Development• I was tasked with an application rewrite, and the porting of all existing 'ACCESS' database application data over to an SOA based web application with Oracle back end. The automated data collection tool is to be used in monitoring Family Type Homes for Adults, with no more than 4 adults managed under a single operator home. Features include the ability to survey and import information on all certified FTHA homes, add a new home, certify a home, catalog enforcement actions, print letters and issue reports.• Toolkit: MVC, C# (Framework 4.5), SOA architecture, Oracle PLSQL (SQL developer 4.0.3, Oracle XML DB features), WCF Services, JQuery/JavaScript, Bootstrap (Version 3.3.6), ASPOSE (Reporting - Aspose.Words,Aspose.PDF),MSI Deployments + Custom Action Installers, TSQL + SSIS (Data mapping)

Their web service will be the single focal point for all contractor data elements on that site page with the exception of statistical information. Power Clerk Data Import – This is a nightly process to pull and parse XML using Framework XML Document Class. The C# application runs nightly to populate a dozen or more tables, and as precursor to the generation of the CUNY Report. Because of additional data point requirements in the CUNY Report changes had to be made to the Power Clerk Data Import Process. To copper fasten the integrity of the business logic the additional code was put under unit test. CUNY Report – The Solar PV group @ NYSERDA supply a nightly data extract to CUNY. The automated Data extract was completed through an SSIS (SQL Server Integration Services) Package. Data Flow and EXEC SQL Tasks including the use of Source, Destination, Derived Column, Data Conversion and pivot components were used. The final product is exported to excel csv and ftp’d to the client’s site using a secure ftp connection facilitated by third party ftp Client - WinSCP.

Reallocated up to 12 employees to other areas. [C# /Excel Interop Classes] Raterunner – Provided means for Sales to make appropriate price point decisions for multiple stations in multiple markets using historical data by making significant modifications to heavily utilized .NET application, swapping existing web services with upgraded service. [C#/Web services] Katz Order Website-Added a significant number of enhancements to the portal which is used by sales to capture radio spot sales information as well as providing invoicing and reporting on that sales information. JQUERY UI enhancements were applied to this site. AJAX calls were used for enhancing application responsiveness.
