SEDP (Serbian Enterprise Development Project), USAID, managed by Booz Allen Hamilton I participated in the project as ICT consultant and offshore development specialist. My key accomplishments on the project were:• Identifying lack of sales and marketing attitude and over-competition on local markets as key constrains of Serbian ICT sector growth• Identifying offshore software development as primary export opportunity for many Serbian companies. • Publishing “Handbook for Developing offshore software development business” in co-authorship with John Mennel.• Helping companies to realize their potential in offshore software development business• Promotion of vertical specialization and gaining industry expertise • Consulting over 40 companies and identifying next steps for growth for every company, motivating companies to take steps for growth • Helping companies to attend to trade shows and to product marketing materials more understandable for Western clients.

This position included establishing and managing Medcon Connectivity department, which provided wide range of connectivity and integration services to the customers of Medcon Symphony product line (now McKesson Cardiology). Connectivity team I built developed infrastructure for building cardiac department workflow and integrating with other systems, ncluding HIS, CIS, hemodynamic and electrophysiology, order management, scheduling, billing, inventory management, ACC, STS and other clinical registries. Links were established using HL7, DICOM, MML standards and proprietary interfaces. Technically we used VC++/DCOM/.NET/VSS, SQL Server, DTS, ADO and ADO.NET, BizTalk and XML database tools. I was also responsible for product definitions, per-customer project management, sales training and marketing materials preparation, customer collaboration, support, demonstrations, internal development process integration and coordination with respective system vendors.

Participated in design and development of MINT Rule Manager™ – interface engine for transformation between various financial messaging formats (e.g. SWIFT, FIX). Rule Manager™ is most easily described as BizTalk Server for banking industry with multiplatform runtime environment. At this position I first experienced with design patterns, software development process engineering, Visio and Rational Rose, relational database design, Oracle, Java, Windows and Unix OS internals, ODBC, RogueWave DB access tools and work with worldwide customer base as well as product lifecycle and Rational Unified Process. We developed and deployed Rule Manager Interface Engine using VC++, native C++ of Sun Solaris, IBM AIX and HP, oracle 7 and 8 on all of those environments. I have also built automated development environment using VSS and Rational Clear Case.
