Brightlands Materials Center, a joint partnership between TNO and the Province of Limburg, is an international research center that develops innovative materials solutions for a sustainable future. We cover 3 research areas: circular packaging, sustainable mobility and sustainable buildings. As a Senior Business Developer I am active for the sustainable buildings program. The focus is on the sustainable building skin. In particular smart glass windows and advanced BIPV, as an important part of a sustaible building in relation to energy saving and generation. The ultimate goal is to get to houses that generate energy, instead of using it. Nano-structured polymeric coatings for glass and functional films and sheets are our way of achieving these goals. My role in this is:- Identification of companies along the value chain involved in nano-particles, polymers, glass, building industry;- Development of an attractive and valuable proposition for these companies to participate in the program ‘Sustainable Buildings’;-Setting up B2B (shared research program) as well as European (Horizon Europe) and Dutch (Interreg, OP Zuid, MOOI etc.) consortia

At TNO we work within the program Photons2Chemicals on a technology concept aiming at fueling chemical processes with sunlight as sustainable energy source. This contributes to the transition of the current chemical industry to a climate neutral one. Focus is on the sunlight-fueled conversion of carbon dioxide to methane, syngas, methanol and C>2 chemicals and the application of the technology concept in fine chemical processes. Focus is both on catalyst and reactor development for photochemical conversions using sunlight as energy source.My role as a Busines Developer within Photons2Chemicals is the Identification of companies who can move this development forward and develop an attractive and valuable proposition for these companies to participate in all kind of cooperations.

• Key contact person in commercial and technical meetings with local and world-wide (key account) operating glass companies (AGC, NSG, Saint Gobain etc.).• Identify market and product requirements and make the technical “translation” in order to give advice and set targets for our R&D and the Technical Service Department (project teams)• Strengthen competitive position of JM by identifying new regions and markets. An important aspect in this is the introduction and sales of new product groups (business development).• Member of multi discipline project teams realizing new developments and products for Johnson Matthey world-wide. The CTM acts as an interface between Johnson Matthey’s R&D / Technical service department and existing / potential customers.• Collect and analyse data concerning JM products and markets and make recommendations which contribute to the effective implementation of JM’s product and sales strategy which will strengthen the competitive position of JM • Direct responsible for the Benelux, Central and Eastern Europe, Russia and all CIS countries.• Setup structure for the sales region : agents, local representation, resellers, etc.. Active reseller in Poland (www.testechnika.com.pl).• Set targets and objectives for my sales team.• Prepare and realize budget and set pricing structure.• Organize and participate at seminars and fairs in dedicated area.• Cooperate with other CTM’s in Europe, Asia and America in relation to central purchasing, pricing, product development, account management, product testing etc.
