Built and managed the tax function of a $4 billion Fortune 500 manufacturer with over 100 subsidiaries in 19 countries. Initiated and executed supportable tax strategies with favorable cash flow and financial statement benefits. Directed tax due diligence and developed tax-efficient structures for over 20 acquisitions/divestitures including Luxembourg holding company and Swiss finance branch structure. Successfully managed numerous federal, foreign and state tax audits. Developed corporate strategy for transfer pricing and negotiated bilateral Advance Pricing Agreement.Designed a restructuring plan for Canadian subsidiaries which allowed for the repatriation of over $100 million with no withholding taxes. This tax planning was sustained by the Tax Court of Canada and the Federal Court of Appeal when they declined to apply the General Anti-Avoidance Rule ("GAAR").

Directed all tax services for a diverse group of clients ranging from medium-sized private companies to large publicly-held companies. Served as Chairman of the International Committee for the Atlanta office and was the Southeast Region leader of the firm’s International Corporate Services Group.

Provided audit and tax services to clients in the Charlotte, Columbia and Philadelphia offices.
