Eugene Yoo is an Anti-Money Laundering consultant with over 16 years of experience in BSA/AML regulatory compliance and financial crime detection. He has worked with financial institutions across a wide range of businesses, from retail banking to broker/dealers and wealth management. He has experience in transaction monitoring, sanctions screening, CDD/EDD processes and risk scoring, SWIFT transactions and trading compliance. Eugene was the Product Manager for Actimize AML solutions, and in that role defined and launched the first versions of Actimize's Suspicious Activity Monitoring (SAM), Customer Due Diligence (CDD) and Watchlist Filtering (WLF). He has held leadership positions in Product Marketing and Presales Consulting, and was Actimize's Subject Matter Expert for OFAC/Sanctions and real-time name screening. Eugene has also led engagements at a diverse set of clients, including casinos, correspondent banks and money-service businesses (MSBs) as a Director in PwC's Risk and Compliance practice. Eugene has also worked at Oracle, Baan Systems, Primary Knowledge and the Department of Defense. He received his BA in Applied Mathematics from Cornell University.
