As a sustainability leader with 20 years of experience, I partner with private, public, non-profit, and government organizations to advance their environmental, social, and governance goals -- with expertise in the commercial real estate and construction industries. Blending first-hand, executive-level experience at a real estate and property management organization with a practical engineering and construction management background allows me to understand the full life cycle from asset development through operations, and bring a unique skill set to all of my clients. As Vice President of Strategy and Sustainability at The Tower Companies for nearly a decade, I led the commercial real estate and property management firm’s efforts to elevate and play a leadership role in the industry, address climate change and health challenges, and inspire people and communities to step up their sustainability game. Before working in-house for a CRE firm, I worked in engineering and project management roles for international construction consulting firms and general contractors, including Lend Lease, on a wide range of public and private construction projects. Since 2010, I have been sharing my passion and experience through public speaking engagements with organizations such as USGBC, NAIOP, BOMA, ACEEE, CREW, REBNY, ULI, EPA, and DOE. The USGBC NCR Chapter recognized me as the 2011 Award of Excellence for Member of the Year and in 2014, I was appointed by the Mayor to the District of Columbia’s Green Building Advisory Council, where I served for 5 years.
