Was responsible for developing novel process to produce high purity alumina. • Over 5 years procurement experience as Manager, Strategic Raw Materials within Global Raw Materials Procurement (Global Lead for Refining Process Chemicals and Lime, approx. spend $200M/year globally). Transformed and successfully implemented sourcing strategies globally delivering US$13M (>20% savings) in 2 years and mapped over >US$30M/year savings over 5 years.• Experience with competitor analysis, benchmarking, partnering opportunities and evaluating external factors that could impact essential raw materials for production, liaising at executive level, market intelligence, area technical teams and R&D experts.• Major project design and commissioning on the Alumar expansion (>US$3 billion), including process control, start-up/ramp-up and team training.• 10 years operational/production experience as process engineer in various areas of the Bayer process and other industries, delivering technical solutions and best practices with focus on safety, cost reduction and innovation.
