I am a passionate and innovate driver and creator of affordable, sustainable and community building & living. I believe that community-led development projects where future owners and residents are involved from the start, result in better outcomes: more affordable, greater focus on ecological impact, and stronger social structures. I am proud to be an affiliate of the international 500 Community Network started by cohousing expert Katie McCamant from Cohousing Solutions (USA). I founded Green Fabric in June 2016 to fill this need by providing a hub for people to share ideas and project opportunities, facilitate connections with professionals passionate to work (more) in this space, and provide support and education to interested and relevant. I am particularly interested in the formation of groups, legal structure and finance solutions. In my role as CEO of Co-operation Housing, a niche community housing provider in WA specializing in housing co-operatives, I provide support and manage social and affordable housing following the co-operative model. It was the successful completion of two multi-award winning medium density projects: Genesis & The Siding by The Green Swing that were instrumental in taking my to where I am today. These projects both had a strong focus on sustainability and community, generated interest and provided inspiration to many. I live in a straw bale home my husband and I built at Genesis. I regularly facilitate, host and speak at workshops, events and conferences.
